Established in 2000, the infectious diseases Department of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital is a key discipline of high-level hospital construction units in Guangdong Province.
The department currently has a diagnosis and treatment team of 20 medical staff, including 4 doctors, 6 masters, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 1 doctoral supervisor, 1 master's supervisor, 4 chief physicians, and 2 deputy chief physicians; The relevant personnel in the department divide and cooperate, responsible for multiple tasks such as clinical, teaching, and scientific research. Discipline leader, department head, member of the National Severe Hepatitis and Liver Failure Professional Committee, and leader of the Difficult Liver Disease Professional Group of the Liver Disease Specialist Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association. In clinical practice, our department has advanced equipment such as "non biological artificial liver", liver reserve function testing, non-invasive liver fiber scanning, and body fat measurement.
The department has set up a hepatitis cirrhosis clinic, a fatty liver clinic, a hepatitis B pregnancy clinic, a viral hepatitis vaccination consultation clinic, a joint consultation clinic with experts on liver space occupying diseases, a follow-up management after liver transplantation and other specialist clinics. He has long been engaged in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of various types of acute/chronic hepatitis, liver failure artificial liver treatment, causes of abnormal liver function, jaundice, nature identification of liver space occupying lesions, causes of fever, diarrhea, human parasitic diseases, intestinal infectious diseases and other infectious diseases, new infectious diseases, etc., and is an important clinical medical center for infectious diseases in the province. Especially for difficult and complex liver diseases, ultrasound-guided liver biopsy can be performed to clarify liver pathology, and further interdisciplinary alliance consultations can be conducted for difficult liver diseases. For critically ill patients such as liver failure, active treatment with artificial liver can be effectively carried out.
In the future, the infectious diseases Department will build first-class disciplinary platforms such as "Diagnosis and Research Center for Difficult Liver Diseases" and "Clinical Transformation Diagnosis and Treatment Platform for Hepatic Fibrosis", form regional influence on Shenzhen and surrounding provinces and cities, and strive to build the department into a key specialty for infectious diseases in Guangdong Province.
